- The new Sportster windows modem is nice and cheap and it has flash rom
- to update. It is plug and play and claims works ONLY with windows or
- windows 95 communications programs. Has anyone been able to use it in
- dos anyhow? The only reason it says no dos is the setup probably
- requires the plug and play driver to set it up. If your BIOS is plug and
- play or if you have the INTEL plug and play software and if that
- software supports the modem interrupts and addresses you should be able
- to use it in dos. I wonder if anyone has done this. It is really too
- bad they thought it not necessary to supply the needed software for dos
- setup. It is also too bad that they did not put flashrom in the regular
- USR Sportster! Waiting for a chip to change sucks face big time IMHO.
