  11. The new Sportster windows modem is nice and cheap and it has flash rom 
  12. to update. It is plug and play and claims works ONLY with windows or 
  13. windows 95 communications programs. Has anyone been able to use it in 
  14. dos anyhow? The only reason it says no dos is the setup probably 
  15. requires the plug and play driver to set it up. If your BIOS is plug and 
  16. play or if you have the INTEL plug and play software and if that 
  17. software supports the modem interrupts and addresses you should be able 
  18. to use it in dos. I wonder if anyone has done this. It is really too 
  19. bad they thought it not necessary to supply the needed software for dos 
  20. setup. It is also too bad that they did not put flashrom in the regular 
  21. USR Sportster! Waiting for a chip to change sucks face big time IMHO.
